Con Deasy, RIP
Con was a founding member of LMVG over 40 years ago and would be very well known to our regular audiences, as our Panto Dame for over 30 years. Anyone who saw him perform says that he commanded the stage and held the audience in the palm of his hand, with unrivaled skill and comic genius. In our humble opinion, he was simply the best Dame in the business!
Con shone off the stage, just as much as he did on it, and had an infectious smile that would light up a room. He was a true gentleman through and through. He always had a kind and supportive word for anyone he met, and was especially encouraging to other members of the group. He inspired a whole new generation of LMVG members who will remember him with incredible fondness and respect.
Even though we are filled with sadness at his passing, we’ll always smile when we think about Con. It’s our privilege to have called him our good friend all these years. We extend all our love and condolences to Rose, Cons immediate family and his extended circle of family and friends.
