Leixlip scoops national Best Overall Show Award!

So we’ve all landed back home safely, after another unforgettable AIMS weekend and this year, we are overjoyed to bring back some amazing pieces of silverware!

LMVG received our very first (in 37 years!) Best Overall Show Award, for Legally Blonde the Musical. Our Committee would like to thank and congratulate EVERYONE who worked on the show – it really was a special, memorable and incredibly successful experience this year!

Our ridiculously talented Director/Choreographer Claire Tighe brought home the Best Choreography Award (for the second year in a row!) and we are delighted that leading lady Jacqueline Brunton also picked up the Best Comedienne Award, fending off stiff competition from across the country! Our music maestro David Hayes just missed out on the Best Musical Director Award but the nomination was rightfully deserved.

The LMVG Committee would like to extend our warmest congratulations to all the stunning societies and fellow nominees at this years awards. Lastly, special thanks to everyone at AIMS (Association of Irish Musical Societies) for an unbelievable weekend and to the staff at the INEC Killarney for looking after us all so well in the glorious Kerry sunshine
